Despite the absence of any sled drags or prowler pushes, this managed to be one of the pukeist feeling workouts in awhile. Had a good old fashioned Deerhunter feel...4 hardy souls were out for the good times. Myself, Chris, D4, and Katie.
Warmup
2 x CES Complex, no rest
2 x Core Complex, no rest
Work
Station 1
RDL
Medicine Ball Slam
Jump Rope
Station 2
Inverted Row
Burpee
Air Squat
High Knees
Pushup
Station 3
Sandbag haul (move all 5 sandbags from one end of gym to other as fast as possible)
Jump Rope
Station 4
Kettlebell Walking Lunges
KB Overhead/Push Presses
One person per station. 5 minutes work. 2 minutes rest b/w stations. Jump rope sets were 50 or 100 reps. Everything else was "as many quality reps as possible."
The Walking Lunges/OH presses were, again, stolen from gym jones and are becoming a favorite of mine. The sandbag carries had an outside feel despite being in the warehouse. Good things to come, no doubt.
All in all, a pretty brutal session. Small group and everyone was familiar with the exercises. We started at 11:30. We ferryed all of the gear back to the appropriate places and I was in my car at about 12:35. So, maybe 10-15 minutes through the warmup circuits. Work sets were quick and difficult. 20 minutes work, 8 minutes rest. Really good session. Looking forward to being back outside, for sure, but there is an appeal to the hard discipline of the warehouse.
Everyone is looking fit and having a good time. I also added a few new information sources to my Reader, so hopefully we'll be able to keep injecting some variety to keep things interesting.
